I'm downloading a Knoppix live Cd

Today at Mini nova, I caught sight of a hot download by the name of Knoppix Live Cd 3.9, I checked it up in Google and I was told that it's nearly the latest version of Knoppix live CD,So i rushed to downloaded it via my Bit Comet,the speed it very satisfying.
Last time I tried a Virtual PC,but it's too slow to run on my PC,I am now worrying about whether I can get a better one.....Shall I try a old version?
